On February 22nd, LEAD Pittsburgh’s Kathleen Moss and volunteer Zersha Munir attended the “Here One Day” film screening. The two of them staffed a table at the event to inform people about LEAD Pittsburgh’s mission, and to talk about the SCoRE for College program LEAD collaborated to create.
Prior to and following the film, many parents and other individuals came to the table to discuss the film, as well as to hear about LEAD’s efforts. To help people along the path to stronger behavioral health, LEAD handed out bookmarks with interesting tips to boost your everyday resilience.
A highlight of the night was hearing from the community. Many people who came to the table shared personal stories. We were touched not only by the stories shared, but also by the openness and bravery exhibited in talking about life’s challenges.
LEAD is very happy that we had the opportunity to participate in this inspiring event.
