FOCUS: Do’s and Don’ts for Parents: Supporting Your Child Through Mental Health Challenges

Join LEAD Pittsburgh on Tuesday, May 21st from 7:00-8:00 pm for our latest installment in our FOCUS speaker series, For Our Children and US.  The event will be held at 5036 Amberson Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. The event will be held at the home of a LEAD Pittsburgh board member, and will very much have a “salon” discussion feel. This is a free event, but please RSVP here.

This discussion will be geared towards parents supporting their children through mental health challenges as well as parents who have an interest in or questions about children’s mental wellness.

Discussion will be lead by Dr. Heather Ufberg. Dr. Ufberg was raised in New York and has been a Pittsburgh resident since 2007 where she lives with her husband and four children. She earned a Masters Degree in Education at Columbia University followed by a Doctoral Degree in Child Psychology at Yeshiva University. Dr. Ufberg worked at The Children’s Institute for over 11 years and currently works at AHN’s Jefferson Hills child and adolescent clinic as well as JFCS’s counseling services. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families on a broad range of issues such as coping with anxiety, mood difficulties, behavioral concerns, complex medical conditions and chronic pain disorders.
