LEAD Receives Benjamin Rush Community Organization Award

On February 24, 2018 the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation recognized LEAD Pittsburgh by awarding our organization the Benjamin Rush Community Organization Award at their “Celebration of Excellence” Gala.

This award is given each year to an organization on behalf of the 3,000 physician members of the Allegheny County Medical Society in appreciation of outstanding contributions made to public health.

LEAD Board Chair Sheila Fine accepted the award, and her remarks highlighted the importance of mental health in all aspects of community care.

LEAD Pittsburgh is truly honored and thankful–this recognition validates the vital link between physical and mental health.

LEAD congratulates all of the other 2018 award recipients, and sincerely thanks the ACMS Foundation. Their devotion to the health and wellness of others, and the leadership and advocacy on behalf of patients and physicians are remarkable!
